He's a little bit of a show-off, but is generally quite mild and easily handled by anyone and everyone. He is overly curious, more likely to investigate new objects than spook or freak out, and with that curiosity comes some of the most awkward incidents. He will put his nose in gaps and other force his way through spaces that he shouldn't, often resulting in him getting stuck or scraped in his efforts to get out of the tough spot he got into. He's a people pleaser with plenty of spirit and working drive. He is super chill out at pasture with other studs and geldings, but be mindful of the ladies - he is very much a lady's man. the history owner • forrest luke palmer father • APH Stallion mother • APH Mare siblings • Likely Many overall history • Leaguer was bred in America, but foaled in England to an up and coming stud of the time. He was raised right from the start to know the other animals on the stud - cows, sheep, chickens, goats and ducks. From the outset he was curious and his owners took advantage of that from the moment they started working with him. But that natural curiosity came back to bite him when he stuck his nose down into a badger hole. He learnt from there on that most holes in the ground weren't safe. The bite wasn't too serious, and resulted in a tiny scar as a reminder of where he put his big fat nose. As he was broken in, he learnt quickly what was expected and came to enjoy the consistency of working with people. Treated well, shown, praised, Leaguer had it all. Unfortunately however he was sold on after the stud fell on hard financial times. So at six, he was sold to a show-man who continued to work with Leager and simply referred to him as 'Old Jon' - as the young stud looked similar to a horse the man had when he was a teen. He stayed with the man who then sold him some time later, finding no fault in Leaguer and was picking up in his life, so he was sent to another young man who sold Leaguer shortly afterwards for a sizeable profit. His owner however did not like the fact Leaguer was Western trained, so there on put him into the sale yards in Hickstead in the hopes to off-load him for a reasonable price. Leaguer now awaits a home that can provide for him the space and work to do what he was bred for. And maybe, just maybe, finally have a forever home. Note: - His 'Oat' allergy is not diagnosed or known at this stage. This allergy applies to both feed and any products derived from Oats. If eaten, he does audibly wheeze, watery eyes, swelling, itching and hive-like welts. Washes or other external products cause visible hive-out breaks, itching, sensitivity and puffiness. the role player alias • BlackJack, Jac age • Mid 20s other characters • If I could turn back time, I'd let you know... |
